Route: CZ: Rakovník
– Kralovice – Radnice – Krašov – Rozvědčík – Rakovník Total distance: 133
km Riders: Katka and Aleš (Honda VFR 750F)
As we all know, last days are brutally hot. And what
else could we do than to go somewhere to water. I found on internet notice
about immersed coal mine near Radnice not far from Pilsen. So we rode
there. We rode just in tees, shorts and without gloves, as the
heat was really sweltering. We went through Jesenice and Kralovice directly to Radnice. We didn't stray at all and even in Radnice we found it very well. Whole surrounding of immersed mine was full of cars. Evidently we weren't the only ones with the idea to go to swim there :) But the water was like velvet. We swam for some time and then set out back home. Between villages Kozojedy and Brodeslavy we made unplanned turn to Krašov castle.
Krašov is beautiful ruin of castle, which rises above Berounka river. There's a breathtaking view over the river and neighboring forests. We enjoyed the view, talked to members of Society for protection of nature reservation and castle Krašov, petted Háta (Castle dog. Beware, she loves to lick out ears. :)) and went on. And because we were near to Berounka, our last stop was clear - Rozvědčík pub,
Lucka, Michal and their superb raspberry lemonade :)
